The National Museum of Archaeology. The museum contains highly valuable parts from excavations done throughout Spain. It has numismatics collections and ceramics from every age.
This permanent exposition is organized in 38 rooms that permit you to take a historic visit around the Iberian Peninsula from the prehistoric time to the XIX century, admire the collections of Egypt and Greece, and the 100 best currency pieces. The museum also has a partial reproduction of the colourful Altamira Cave.
There is a library specialised in scientific publications of Art, History, Archaeology, and Museums. Investigators, professors and university students can gain admittance to the library.
