 | | Juan Carlos I Park. Located near the Barajas airport, next to the "Campo de las Naciones" fairground, has an area of 160 hectares. In its precincts great pavilions rise up, buildings for expositions, conference halls, restaurants, auditoriums, luxurious hotels, a congress building, an artificial lake and a large outdoor auditorium.

In Madrid's Plaza Mayor, we find buildings of monumental character. Initiated according to layouts by Juan de Herrera for the Arrabal plaza, its current configuration was arranged by Juan Gómez de Mora between 1617 and 1619, with the "Casa de la Panadería" as midpoint of the composition.

The Debod Temple. Constructed in the IV century BC, this Egyptian temple was handed over to Spain in 1970 in gratitude to the work by the Spanish archaeological mission that collaborated in the rescue of the Nubian valley temples at risk of being flooded by the Aswan dam waters.
