| | Salamanca, capital of the region and most common Spanish Renaissance city, amazes the visitor for its monumental-historic ensemble. The Plaza Mayor, political and social centre of the city that finds itself amidst the celebration of its 250th anniversary, the New Gothic Cathedral, Renaissance and Baroque manners that protects the Old Cathedral, Romanesque style, both reflection of religious thinking; the University, works of Spanish Renaissance knowledge and the "Casa de las Conchas", Gothic-Renaissance construction with the "Orden de Santiago" emblem decorated on its walls, among other monuments.
Outside of the capital are some unforgettable places all along the entire region like the Natural Reserve Arribes del Duero, which presents impressive views of its canyons and cascades, or the Béjar Sierra, a great location for skiing and holder of the most captivating panoramas.
